Cause
A typed flag or local setting could not be converted into a request, so nothing was sent. A malformed --variants list, --variants without --key, or an unrecognized SPLITCH_PLATFORM_TARGET all land here. Request bodies are never judged locally: the API validates them and answers VALIDATION_ERROR.
Fix
The error names the offending field and reason. Fix the field and retry.
